Kelsey and Bree

Stop by the farm and meet our head instructor/trainer: Kelsey Horn. Kelsey has taught at Inavale for fourteen years, and is certified by the US Eventing Association. She has ridden to the Intermediate ** level in eventing, and is working toward a US Dressage Federation Bronze medal. Kelsey provides a very professional atmosphere, and friendly, straight-forward teaching style.

Milla Rindal-Gardner has spent her life around horses. Before she was a year old, she was strapped to her mom’s back as she taught lessons. She got her first pony, Quiggley, at age four and rode him to several pony equitation championships. During her teen years she worked for a variety of hunter/jumper and eventing trainers in the northwest. After graduating in 2021 with a Bachelor’s of the Arts in Music and Spanish with a minor in Dance, she still wanted to work with horses and went back to the hunter/jumper world at Rohan Equestrian before starting as an assistant trainer/instructor at Inavale Farm.

We also host many summer activities for beginner through advanced riders. Occasional visiting clinicians are invited to teach here, providing new perspectives for students and horse owners.

Beginner lessons start with the basics of horsemanship, including safety, grooming, saddling and bridling. Kids learn skills to prepare them for owning their own horse.

Summer beginner camps are day camps designed for horse-loving kids who want a more intensive session to learn all they can about horses.

Our school horses are well trained, patient, and experienced. We have a group of twelve school horses, and one is sure to be the right horse for your skill level.

We can also host Birthday Parties and Trail Rides for small groups.

How it works:

If you are new to us, start by scheduling an introductory lesson

After your first lesson, your instructor can suggest some scheduling options for you.  When you have found a group and/or time slot that works for you, we will schedule you into that time slot.  We bill monthly in advance, and you will receive an electronic invoice on the 15th of the month for lessons the following month.  For example, you would receive an invoice March 15th for lessons in the month of April, due by April 1st.  If you would like to cancel or change your lesson or time slot, you will need to let us know by the 15th of the month prior.  We also schedule makeup time slots each month for lessons you might have missed for any reason.  These can be scheduled online at any time at no additional charge.

Lesson rates:

1 hour group class (up to four riders): $45

45 minute private: $50

45 minute semi-private (2 riders): $30

30 minute private lesson: $45
